Dr. Justin Hellman is one of 2 fellowship trained oculoplastic surgeons in San Luis Obispo county. He specializes in upper and lower lid blepharoplasty, endoscopic brow lift, and double eyelid surgery. He frequently performs surgeries to treat ectropion, entropion, tearing, droopy eyelids, eyelid retraction, floppy eyelids, Bell's palsy, and growths on and around the eyelids. He is an expert in the area of eyelid reconstruction in patients with skin cancer. Dr Hellman received a full scholarship to the University of Chicago, where he received his M.D. He was recognized as being in the top 1% of all ophthalmology residents nationally while at U.C. Davis. He completed his training at the Beaumont Eye Institute with Dr. Geoffrey Gladstone.
