Aging in Place

Definition
Living in your own home, safely and independently, as you age — usually with home modifications, in-home care, and community supports.

About 90% of Americans 65+ say they want to age in place. Making it work usually requires home modifications (grab bars, no-step entry, lighting), a care plan that scales (from check-ins to home aides), funding, and a backup plan for the day staying home stops being safe.
